How do I clean my new Asha?

For everyday cleaning, we recommend Gemcare as a wonderful and safe way to keep all your gemstones and metals sparkling.  Otherwise, due to its amorphous diamond exterior, any chemical cleaner used for diamonds may be used on the Asha.

A true ultrasonic cleaner (meaning you will need to pay over $50 to ensure it actually creates true ultrasonic cavitation....the $19 cleaners on Ebay are ultrasonic in name only) is highly recommended for periodic use, do be sure to read their usage instructions and don’t use them for more delicate gemstones such as emeralds.  Please also ensure that your Asha is not placed directly next to other diamond jewelry in the ultrasonic, lest the diamonds be rubbed against the Asha and scratch it.

Never clean your gold jewelry with any chlorine based cleaner, your Asha (or platinum) will be fine but chlorine attacks gold, weakens it and makes it brittle which can cause breakage or stone loss.

Finally, do not dunk your Asha into boiling water - the sudden temperature change will risk cracking it via thermal shock.
