Ok, i know alot of other brides do it, and was wondering what worked for you. I cant eat like normal people (my hypothyroid) so the eating many meals sensibly does NOT cut it. That whole eat 5 meals a day thing. I could go 2 days and not eat and not get hungry. I just did. My diet kicked off w/ water and yogurt for 2 days. Mmmm yogurt. I could live off yogurt and die happy. Oh, and V8. I drink a V8 a day. Ive taken to drinking 64 oz of h2o a day (or more if i dont burst), cut out the caffine, and do 1 smart meal a day: a lean cuisine or a salad w/ oil & vinigar (i normally only eat 1x or so a day, but its usually junk- and i never drink water). I was wondering what workout makes ya'll slim down the fastest. I have my stair climber and pilates videos, but im wondering whats fastest. Has anyone had fast sucess w/pilates? Here's my goal. To shed 20 lbs by mid-late june..... C'mon ladies, help me out here- when in a pinch, whats worked for you?

an Rx for Adipex......trust me.....i have dropped almost 3 whole pant sizes in 2 months. I dont even take it every day, hell, i havent had one in 2 weeks or more. but, it did jump start my system and kicked my metabolism into high gear. Now i just take one every so often for a boost.

i would looove to, but no RX for me. Doc wont, because im already on thyroid meds. I would loooove to. I took xenadrine back in the day, and lost 40 lbs in 2 months. Unfortunatly it screwed w/ my heart :P As much as i ould love love LOVE to take something to shed the lbs, a.) im not overweight enough for my doc to allow it (im about 20-25 lbs heavy, but hey, arent we all?) and b.) with my meds already screwing w/my metabolism, anything else would make me explode! by the way, Rene, CONGRATS ON YOUR LOSS!!! THATS FRIGGIN AWESOME!!!!!!

DONT DO THIS!!! Not only is it not good for you but it is the biggest misconception on weight loss! Not saying you did this to lose weight but I had a major eating disorder and I didnt eat, ANYTHING...and worked out like a freak. I lost so much muscle mass and my energy was at a ZERO. When you don't eat for long periods of time your metabolism SLOWS down and will keep at a low. I know you have problems with your metabolism but think of what is done intentionally to it when you dont eat. It gets used to this and you pack on pounds. After seeing nutritionists I have gained a nice sense of what to do and what not to do when dieting! Eat 5 times a day. It truly works. It has sped up my metabolism greatly! At first it was hard for me to do this but then you get used to it. Pick foods you like, they dont necessarily have to be the "diet" foods, those get boring! Talk to a nutritionist to get you on a plan. Work out. You can do it!!!

i know its bad, but if i dont actually make a point to think abou eating, i wont. my body just never seems to get hungry. I did make a concious effort today, and had some fruit for breakfast Isnt it sad im proud i ate breakfast? LOL. No way could i eat 5 times a day. i dont even know what that means! eat 5 meals of WHAT?!? if its like a snack bar, maybe i could do it, like 3x......

Ok, you asked for it- I had to be in my bro-in-laws wedding 8 weeks after child #2, and the day after I got home from the hospital I has 35 lbs to go to get the dressed zipped and 10 lbs more to get back to normal ( damn those krispy cremes!). So, I have a friend who is a personal trainer, I worked a deal with her. I had to drastically up my protein intake, to where I was eating a 5 oz serving of lean protein at each meal and only whole wheat or complex carbs, and no sugar! I did interval training, where I wore a heart rate monitor and my HR was at 75-85% of my max HR for 30 mins or more, plus free weights, training upper body one day, then lower the next. I did 6 days a week of 60 mins of cardio plus weight training. Sometimes, I had to break it up into 30 mins in the morning, and 30 mins later, but each time I did it I was working hard! We're talking sweat city. We did lots of lunges, squats, wind sprints, spinning classes, yoga classes, and I always had a small snack bag with me. Well, it was so flippin' hard, she really helped me. I lost it all, and I was buff, but it is an overwhelming commitment to make day in and day out, and I don't think it's a healthy to put your body through so much so quickly. If you can join a gym or hire a reputable personal trainer, do it! They keep you motivated and will keep you from hurting yourself, plus they have all kinds of ways to mix it up. Also, meal prep is key, leave nothing to chance. I packed my own food everywhere, I had snack bags of plain almonds, one handful of dried cranberries and a mozarella cheese stick on hand always. I found I wasn't tempted to eat junk food if I always knew I had a snack with me. Water, lots of water. I had a sport bottle with a fresh lemon constantly. If you're looking for a bar recomendation, try Balance Bars. They have a good mix of fats/protiens/ carbs, and the yogurt honey peanut is really tasty. One bar can serve as a snack, but try to eat some additional protein later. One nice bonus is my oldest child started eating much healthier, so I broke her of a junk food habit and she really got a kick out of "babysitting" her baby brother while I was running with them in the stroller.

Have any of you ever tried the Inch Loss Body Wraps that are done in Spa/Massage Parlors? Supposedly, it jumpstarts weight loss and helps shed inches immediately. I have a friend that wants me to go with her to get it done, but I won't do it without knowing what to expect first. I researched it on the web and here's more information about it: "Body Wrap will help you to get rid of water retention, by drawing toxins from the body through the skin. Elastic bandages are soaked in herbal-mineral solution, which is warmed to the body temperature. A technician will wrap your body with these bandages. You are then wrapped in a warm thermal blanket. The surrounding warm temperature helps for the therapy to be more effective. Body Wrap helps contour and firm the body, making it helpful for cellulite appearance".
Do you think it would work?
