I should also mention it will be in a white gold or platinum setting, and will be 2 carot cathedral setting w/ no bagets.

I am not familiar with lannyte personally, so I can't comment on it. However, I do have both Asha and moissanite -- and will comment on those. 
If you want a diamond look-alike, Asha is IT! Some folks don't care for the icy-white, but it does look exactly like the same color diamond. A friend of mine has an E .75 VVS RB diamond of an excellent cut. I had an E Asha, 1.5 RB. Side by side, they were indistinguishable. Her DH was not thrilled to see that... The same friend bought the E Asha from me, as she wanted a larger stone. 
I purchased an H 1.5 RB Asha from BTD and am thrilled with it.
I also have moissanite (ring and earrings x 2) and love it for itself. However, I don't think it looks like diamond at all, side by side. If viewing moissanite by itself, it can pass a diamond but on closer inspection, I find it shoots out too much color -- due to double refraction.
Regardless, both stones are beautiful! Good luck in your search and I hope you keep us posted.
