Mahalo CJ and LOL at oy, I love that saying! Thanks Anythingartzy! I think it means a lot when someone likes a ring/stone when they are not partial to the cut. I always thought I did not like Emerald cuts, but so many ladies have posted such beautiful emerald cut rings/stones, that I so drool over them now and love them! Thank you Star. Dragonfly, thank you for the kind words and nice wishes Thank you canarygirl, I really am still loving it so!

I just realized that I have never posted the story that I was told about this ring. I hope it is true and that someone would not make up such a thing just to try and make a sale! Well even if it was worst case scenerio, and the story was made up, I still got a beautiful ring out of this whole transaction! I emailed the seller and asked him if he knew the history of the ring, and he responded with a nice email. Then when I won the ring, he said he and his wife were very happy that I had won, because I was the only one that had asked a question about the history behind the ring. Then when I received the ring, the seller had included a really nice note, and picture of his great aunt and her husband. It just reduced me to tears like you could not imagine. So like I said I really hope it is all true, because it is all so beautiful. Ok, here is the response I got when I asked the seller about the history of the ring: "As it turns out, this ring was given to my Great Aunt J by the love of her life, her husband F. My Aunt (who worked as a department manager for Arnold Constables in New York City) was a gentle, loving, woman who touched the hearts of everyone she met. My Aunt always said she never intended to marry, until she met my Uncle F, her "Mr. Right." J was 50 years old when she was swept off her feet by F, an Attorney from Long Island. They spent the next 40 years devoting their lives to each other as they were too old to have children. J and F shared a passion for boating and spent their free time enjoying each other and their adventures together out on their boat. When F became ill, J was devastated, and amazingly took care of him herself. After F's death, my Aunt lived the last eight years of her life missing F and sharing stories of their life together with my young children. In her final months, my wife created a special moments scrapbook for J, depicting her time together with F. My Aunt sobbed and shared this gift with every patient, nurse, visitor, etc. in the nursing home. We were blessed to have my Aunt J and it was her request that this symbol of love be shared with someone who would appreciate and preserve its beauty and meaning. My Aunt left this ring to me along with my grandfather's estate. I thank you for your interest in my auction and for allowing me this opportunity to reflect upon my beloved Aunt J. Regards, xxxxx"
