OK, Trina is back!!!!!! Got to say I love that ring!!!! I'm not a big pear fan but I love that ring. I might have to hit free.cz up for some pear stones. Although I am still waiting for the ones I ordered in lightest yellow!!! I have been reading many posts about drooling and needing bibs and buckets... well I have the remedy!!!

All of us need to take some sort of antihistamine... maybe Benadryl to dry out our mucus membranes real good, and we can look at all the sparklies without the droolage problem!!!!

Wink's wholesaler sometimes will even cut a specific stone for a client.

There is already a huge amount of diversity in colors and shapes.

They are very good, just not quite as good as Asha; are more a really good deal but not quite as good as a subsitutTessaSo we are all up it the air right now.

Speaking of wink. He is going to be making a custom ring with my EC 2.10 asha! (East/west is what I'm thinking right now but it isn't set in stone! Pun intended!) He's out of town right now but I'm suppose to send him my rings before the 19th. I'm really excited about that Pook. I've seen some of the custom work (Some aquamarines-I'll see if I can post them here.)but I don't actually know anyone that has had anything custom made by him! If you (or anyone) have something and could post pics that would be great!

Someone mentioned cushion cut and since BTD didn't have one I ordered a plat cathedral 2ct cushion from Wink and it is very elegant...I know I keep promising pic...soon, I promise!)

Sam, I don't want to burst your bubble or anything, but I was dissapointed with my custom peice from Wink.

I don't know if it is entirely custom, or something modified from one of his vendors, but mine is a modified Ingwer. I had seen so many beautiful things and so many gushing reviews of him and his stuff, that I ordered it w/out seeing anything of his in person.

The ring quality is poor. Every jeweler I have taken it too says it is too light and probably hollow inside (not carved out kind of hollow, it looks solid, but inside I think it's hollow). The stones have gaps in them meaning I can moved them out of place with my finger, the lines that are supposed to be straight are crooked and a few other details that are hard to explain. When I told Wink about it, he said that he was very pleased with my ring and didn't see anything wrong with it. He offered to check it out and fix whatever neccesary, but by that point I just thought I'd give up on it cuz the stones are crap anyway (they're signity). I feel like I just threw a way a couple hundred dollars.

So please make all of your requests very clear. He just kept saying "yeah, yeah, yeah, I can make it and it will be ready in a few weeks" but he obviously wasn't listening to my details because it doesn't reflect what I asked for--generally, but not specifically.

I know that not everyone has had my experience w/him so you might be a lucky one, but just make sure that you are confident that he understood everything you said.

Hey E! Thanks for the post. I haven't sent my asha yet. I think I might wait for some other people to give an opinion if they want too...anyone? I really can't say enough good things about the cathedral and I took Pook's advice ordered some stones to look at. If I have him do anything I will make sure to be VERY specific. I worry about those kinds of things myself (especially hollow -I like my stuff heavy, stones that move- bummer!) Seriously, I'd love to see some other reviews or opinions!!!!
