Hi-
The wedding ring that I am considering is the BTD pave eternity ring. The only thing is that it will not "match" my engagement ring. The only way for an exact match would be to have something custom made, since my setting is antique. That wouldn't neccessarily be a problem, but I wouldn't have the option of wearing the wedding alone ever (it will be odd looking alone).
I was just hoping to get some feedback or opinions on mis-matched wedding sets. Everywhere I look, everyones rings match perfectly. I just don't want it to look trashy.

If you like the look of the pave band with your e-ring, that's all that should matter. Who the heck cares what anyone else thinks? You're the one wearing it.

If in doubt, go visit your local jeweller and check out what a pave band would look like with your ring and see what you think about it 'in person'.

I have an antique ring with a real 1.2 carat princess diamond as my engagment ring and matching band. I then wanted a larger stone and fell in LOVE with the radiant ASHA (it is gorgeous!). I had another custom antique ring made for that and it looks smashing together. I paired it up with my old band that looks like an eternity band with princess diamonds (but only goes half way around the band), and it has detailed carvings on the side that match my new ring. It's relatively easy to find complimentary pieces for antique jewlery that look great together. If not bring your piece in to a good jeweler who can etch complimentary designs into your band.

I think that mismatched sets are unique and display the persons personality more than anything that was perfectly matched at the store would. If YOU and your hubby likes the way it looks, who cares what the people who notice your jewelry in passing think?
