I have a 20 year old daughter. If she were to get engaged, I would raise the biggest fuss imaginable.

I know people used to marry young, but it is so different now. Even just statistically speaking, it is a bad idea with low odds. And then throw in the celebrity aspect. I wish them the best.

I was 19ish when I knew DH and I would be married. We were engaged at 20 and married at 21. It's not about age. Some people that age are mature enough while others clearly are not. The risk of divorce is higher for marrying at that age and add in the pressure of a high profile career and the odds get worse....but maybe they'll pull a rabbit out of a hat!

I was 18 when I started to date my husband,19 when we started living together and 21 when we married,so I'm not gonna say anything about her age.I also tend to think that growing up in hollywood make these girls grow up more quickly then they would otherwise.And also,who knows,maybe they will stay engaged for a while.

Her ring is GORGEOUS! I love the antique solitaire look and the fact that it is 3 cts. makes it more lovely to me. It's a very "normal person" sized diamond for a celebrity.

ETA: I've heard both 3cts and 3.5 cts

ahahahaha....You might be right! I do feel like 3.5 cts is relatively small compared to other celebrity rings though, maybe not small for us regular folk. lol

3.5ct is the perfect size on my hand I think, but I am creeping my way up to 4ct, lol. Another way to know I hang out here too much too. When I started her I thought 8mm or 2-2.5ct was "perfect".

I was 22 when I got married and dh was 25. We have been together almost 10 years and married for almost 8 years. I have always been more mature then most people at the same age and went through a lot when I was younger. I knew dh was the one and went with my gut. Marriage can work or not work no matter what your age.
