Very pretty!! It doesn't look that large to me at all though. It looks about the same length as that band, which is probably 7 or 8mm...so that put the pear under a carat. Even if it was a 10mm band, which it does not look like at all, it would only be 2cts.

Oooh, I like Miley's ring very much. And that pear halo is gorgeous too! I'm not too fond of pears, but I think they're beautiful in a halo.

It could be set high. I think higher settings make stones look larger, especially in pictures.

While I love the color of her emerald and the textured gold, I can't help but feel that this looks very much like a men's ring because of the thickness of the shank and how straight the metal is around the edges of the shank. Eh, it's just not my thing. :-/
