Okay, bad color zoning and cutting isn't good Glad he pulled them, but can't wait to see the pretties he does approve

Having just made a ring with 2 blue diamonds, I can HIGHLY recommend them over sapphires. They shine/glint and play with light just like normal diamonds.... It's just a pity the things are so difficult to photograph properly !

I have loved blue diamonds ever since I saw the Hope at the Smithsonian when I was a girl. I wonder if Takara will ever do a dark, greyish stone like the Hope or is it impossible to get that color in a cultured stone?

I would so love a .50 carat cushion cut blue halo.

Mind, I saw your ring before and couldn't believe they were blue diamonds! What color grade are they? I am sure the ring looks 1000x better in person! I think blue is one of the hardest colors to photograph in stones.

They are 0.35ct each... grade is SI. According to Wink, one even has pretty good H&A. Color is "medium true blue".

Yes, they are IMPOSSIBLE (for me) to photograph. Despite repeated attempts. The stones look horrible in photo's (which is bad for websites selling them), but in person they are amazing !

The ring is REALLY nice as far as light return goes.
In sunlight the ring just "washes out" ... the center stone (H&A) reflects so much light, that it goes white..... but the blue diamonds shine.

In low light, it sparkles like crazy though. You can see it sparkle in starlight when it's too dark to see your fingers !

And, of course she said yes....
