Ok I posted last week that I found a great halo mount. The "high" end jewelry store where I saw it asked the vendor if it came in all white gold instead of the two tone that I saw. Well they won't/don't make it that way. I was searching for the vendor but have since found that it is a vendor that sells their stuff under the jewelry store name ie they make it but it is marketed as a store design not a vendor design. Anyway if they don't make it in the right color it doesn't matter who it is.

So all that blah blah to say to all you jewelry loving people have you seen what I am looking for. I really don't want the expense of a custom piece and don’t care about designer brands. I want a split shank, prong set, halo for my 1.5 ct round diamond. The one I tried on was made so that a normal flat band would sit pretty flush with the halo which is what I want. The combination of the shank, prongs, flat wedding ring is not so easy to find. Anybody got a link to a ring like this?

with the way the shank is, a wedding band would definitely sit flushed against it.

This is the semi-mount I ordered from Oxford Diamonds for my Antique Cartier Cushion stone. I'm supposed to receive it next week after waiting for an excruciating 5 weeks. He had to special order it. I was watching it in My eBay and then someone won it through BIN. I emailed him and asked if he could order me another one. He said he could but that it would take several weeks. Anyway, I love that this setting is kinda different. It's sort of a split shank with a halo. I think Tacori has a design with a similar shank. I love this and can't wait to get it. I will definitely post pictures once the stone is set!!

Sparky you beat me to it . I have a split shank halo from Oxford w/ a 9mm sapphire.I can & do wear it with a pave band with it

Mimiryan, that has always been one of my favorite settings from Oxford!! It was a toss up between the one I ordered and yours. I still wonder how my 9mm RB Asha would look in your setting!!
