Cyn, do you have a certain plan for your 3CT pear? I think the BTD pear is so cute. I think I am the monority though, I like them a little elongated. Can't wait to see pics of your little guy in a setting!

Since my sparklie budget has been exceeded due to my inability to control myself the past two months , my plans for the pear will probably involve being set into the Tiffany Cathedral for the time being. Although I was just on my way to drool over the pear setting krink has for sale...
li'l guy......dang......mine is huge! I would have liked it to be a little longer though.....but I do love it! I'm getting lots of ooohhhhhhssssss and aaaaahhhhhhhssssss over it!
I was reading one of the previous exchanges and there was talk about the "dead spot" or "fish eye" what is this, and does it scream fake if people can spot it?

In this instance: a place where the facets don't reflect light (or look dead), looking at the center of her stone, she saw a place where that happened. A fish-eye is actually a reflection of the girdle of the stone. Diamonds can have them, but well cut and properly faceted diamonds will not. So no, it screams bad more than fake.
