holy cows. i was totally blown away when i saw my saharas from bella. i ordered on the 28th, and they were delivered on the 30th. now THAT'S great service!

anyway...pictures. i compared them to my 8mm LY OEC and 8m LY ACC. from left to right: 7mm sahara, 8mm OEC, 7.5mm sahara, 8mm ACC:


They don't look very tinted at all. Just slightly warm to my eyes.


Face down, they showed more color


At an angle they have some color as well

i love the stones. many thanks to bella for having such lovelies available! 7mm is not at all too big. in fact, 7.5mm is not all that big, either!

next thought...what kinda semi-mount do i want for these lovelies?? i think i'd like the 7mm to be something i can wear everyday to work and swap out with my princess tulip when the mood strikes...something low-set would be ideal. for the 7.5mm...i was thinking a 2mm wide semi-mount with half eternity pave band, but i'm afraid the color difference between the stones on the band and the sahara would be too much. must think some more....

yeah, i was thinking either a simple 6-prong tiffany or the tiff repro for the 7mm...and maybe the pave semi-mount for the 7.5mm. still on the fence on that one. i put one of the stones onto a semi-mount with G-H side stones and the sahara looked sorta dingy compared to the side stones on the mount.

Nice choices, bling. Probably a solitaire, as you say putting it next to whiter stones seems to make the colour look dingy when it isn't really at all. Can't wait to see what you do.

Absolutely gorgeous stones! The OEC & OMC are Sahara's, from Bella? Do we know who is cutting their stones?

Also, are they cutting Asschers? I would sooo love to find someone who would cut the original Asscher vs. the Royal Asscher!!! Dave Atlas is 'gonzo' on the biz of cutting sims, since BG closed...

I don't have any Asschers left. So my best bet, at this point, has been to wait until someone lists one of their 'Bellisima' Asscher cuts for sale and GRAB it!!! Of course, this is not likely! I have yet to find someone willing to give their BG's up!

thanks, DG! probably won't be setting them all for a while. the OEC i've already got a setting picked out, just no funds yet to buy it. the ACC i'm still searching for a setting for. the saharas i've got settings picked out for but again, no funds

maybe santa hubby will make a donation to my bling budget soon
