My mom and I were actually just talking about joining Weight Watchers together... But I could use your help and motivation too! I am vegetarian, but I eat way too much bread, pasta, cheese, potatoes and sweets (I just listed my whole diet, I think). I just turned 30 this past year, and I am just not as thin as I used to be...

I need to lose 20 pounds and I have no idea how to get started! I mean, I KNOW I have to cut calories, eat more nutritious food and exercise... But I need some motivation, I guess!

My daughter and I started trying to lose weight about a month ago. My daughter has lost about 15 lbs, but I have only lost about 5. She has been much more committed. It is very hard to diet through the holidays and I ...ahem slipped a little. We are now trying to walk a lot and we got a new DDR (Dance Revolution) game for Christmas and it really gives you a workout and it is fun! Like I said she is much more committed, and I am trying to improve. Any DDR fans out there?

Hey, Allison, you and I are traveling down the road to the same destination. I kind of got a head start, but have just the same distance yet to go--LOL

I want to join! I gained 10lbs since getting off the pill. My clothes are a bit too snug.

I plan on following the Body For Life program, losing as much as I can in 12 weeks. I'm planning on starting the program tomorrow and ending in the 2nd week of April. Hopefully by then I'll be 10lbs or more lighter and back on a healthy track!

Me!! My daughter got a High School Musical version for Christmas. I haven't tried it out yet, but I have big plans for it!! I love DDR. Did you know that some school districts are purchasing it for use in the PE classes? I think that is such a good idea.

Five pounds may sound like a small number, but it makes a big difference! Congratulations! The slower you lose it the easier it is to keep it off. Five pounds is awesome!!

I've read that after the first week you should shoot for 2 pounds a week. I've cut back on the diet sodas and I don't eat fast food (mainly because I lost my bankcard and don't often carry cash). I've lost about 15 pounds and gone down 2 pants sizes since the beginning of November. I am afraid I'll gain it back (always!! always do), so I'd like to join you ladies!!! Acutally, thinking back, I stopped eating school lunch and the weight started coming off. That motivated me to watch what I was eating a little more carefully. I haven't ordered a new bankcard because I like how not having it makes it harder to go through a drive-thru.

Can I join too??

I did Weight Watchers 8 years ago and lost 25 lbs. This made me a lifetime member. Unfortunately the weight has crept back on (how the heck did that happen!!!!).

Would love some motivation and tips from other board members. Would be great to communication every day and keep track of our success!

We can do this ladies!!!
