Wink, I feel that is more than fair. I create bridal gowns, and to do an estimate, takes hours. I certainly understand and would not hesitate to place an order, as I actually did! LOL

Oh, and just to let anyone who is sending a payment for a quote in...the payments need to be sent to [email protected] . She handles the accounting for Winfield's.

For what it is worth department.

I was very worried that our $75 appliable quote fee would drive business away. On the contrary, it has stopped a few of the tire kickers, but only one person has said it was unfair to charge for a bid and gone away. (That I know of.)

Most of our clients have been very understanding about this and appreciate that the quality of our CADs and the quality of the finished pieces entirely justify the applicable quote fee.

We had a client this morning chose a mounting of our site in lieu of the CAD that she she had done. She felt the CAD would be incredible, but it really was just not quite what she wanted after all. She told me it was $75 well spent.

I agree. It has decreased our quote load by factor of about three as only serious applicants are having us quote jobs. Our acceptance rate of the finished CADs, either before or after modifications, is at well over 90%. Before our acceptance rate was at less than 20%. Guess we were doing WAY too much work for free.
