Wink I have an idea for a future project but wanted to know if you cut side trapezoids in colors.

My idea is maybe champagne trapezoids with a pinkish brown center. Is this do-able.

Thanks Wink

Sure. You have missed our most reacent order, so it will be about 5-6 weeks until they are cut. What size would you like?

Good morning Wink. The center stone which I am thinking about would be about 3.0cts I am leaning towards maybe an Emerald or even an Asscher. Wink the attached picture is one of my projects and is the look I am trying to go for. It is a Leon Mege piece that I am having duplicated by Michael E. Wink looking at the ring in total what size trapezoids would you suggest. The center stone is a 4.0ct Asscher.

I would suggest that the long side of the trap be at least two mm shorter than the length of the emerald cut. For example, if the emerald is an 8 x 10, I would have the traps be no more than 8mm long and would more likely go with 6mm long. That is because the corners on an emerald are truncated (cut off). This would mean that the apparent length of the sides is about 8mm on a 10mm long stone because the truncation will be nearly 1mm on each end. That would result in the 6mm stone looking very good with the 8mm emerald cut, although a 7 or 8mm would also look good.

Sounds perfect to me Wink . Since I missed the batch that was recently cut and the next is scheduled in 6 weeks would it be possible for you to put me down for 2 trapezoids the color I want is champagne that will be matched to an Emerald cut dimensions 3.0cts 9x7. Wink whenever you have a second just give me an email and let me know if you have price quote. My email address is [email protected]

Geeze I knew as soon as Wink came on board I would get into trouble

Rhonda I have to confess that the idea came from the luscious pic you developed for a three stone ring. The pinkish brown center with maybe cognac or champagne sides. I thought the combination was simply stunning and since the interlaps are very reasonable I thought "What the hay". I am so hooked on the Leon Mege look that I am doing this colored version as a fun piece. Do you have any other thoughts that may help??

It is so amazing we really do have the exact same taste in jewelry style and colors . I hope you don't mind that I borrowed your color idea's but after seeing your creation that color combo has been on my mind like crazy. I really like Winks trapezoids so I took the plunge. My only other decision is the center stone do I go for Emerald cut or another Asscher? Opinions anyone.

Spy, I think you should go for an asscher with the color traps. The asscher with traps is really such a stunning look together. Your ring would look amazing. Would the asscher be clear or did you have a color in mind?
