That is THE most beautiful halo I've seen.... I hope everything goes good!!!! The getting him drunk sounds the best.... I also like getting the stone removed and then something happening with the setting...
Wishing you the best of luck Doll!!!

THIS IS NO FAIR! So I am sitting here at work, a fairly quiet office......Going through the threads that I have missed over the past few months, and OMG, I hit this one. The first unfair thing I CAN SEE THE FRIGGIN PICTURE ON MY WORK COMPUTER!!! So now i have to race ome so I can see it.
SECOND THING - I BUSTED OUT LAUGHING and everyone wants to see wht I am laughing about...OK, so not exactly for the office to "see"...OMG< I am so red right now. But it is 3:14, I need to be heading home so I can look at this gorgeous sparklie, and Geesh, you ladies are HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My suggestion: Honey, look, I have given you 22 year of my life, the BEST 22 years of my life. Out of those 22 years, you have spent 8 hours per night sleeping, that is 7.3 years of our marriage. You also spent at least 8 hours a day working, that is another 5.23 years. Plus dont forget your commute of 2 hours per day which is another 1.30 years of our relationship. You also spent another 6 hours a day eating, clothing and bathroom time which is another 5.5 years total. You watch and read at least an hour and a half of TV or Reading per night which is another 1.30 years of our marriage as well. This is equal to 20.63 years of our marriage which I did nto even count in your time with "The boys" or your favorite hobby.
So, in hindsite, this ring will show me how much you appreciate me, knowing now how much time that you spent away from me in our 22 years, surely you want to let me have something that will SHOW me everyday how much you love and aprpeciate me while we are apart...
He will understand this in HIS job!!!

Oh, my good God in heaven above, IT WORKED!!!! Do you know what approach I took? I ASKED!!!! Why didn't anyone think of that???
Okay, maybe it was a bit more involved than that, but not much! He got home from work and after all the "How was your day"ing finished, he asked me what I'd been up to. I said, "selling." He said "GOOD!!" I told him I had a proposition for him, and he replied that that usually meant something not in his favor. I said "not always..." (laughing a little) "but this time it was." I said that I have decided to sell off all nonessentials* and not to buy anymore if he would let me reset my ering into a very reasonable setting. He paused for all of about 3 seconds and said, (now wait for it...........) "okay."
I asked him if he was sure he'd heard me. Then I asked if maybe he was dehydrated (it has been very hot in Oklahoma)?!? He asked how much I thought I'd get for the things I had listed, and then how much "very reasonable" was, and said again "that sounds okay." I asked if he was even interested to see the setting??? Well, he looked at it, and said "It's one of those antique things you like." and I nodded. So much drama for so little reality!!
To get him up to speed on how much I've been angsting over asking him I read this thread to him. He laughed and said "you people are crazy!" What's to argue there?? So, tomorrow I call Pearlman's and get the thing ordered!!!!!! WHOO HOOOO!!
*nonessential exclude gold comfort fit wedding band we exchanged during vows, original transitional cut ering and 10th anniversary band which will go to our daughter, Mark Morrell sapphire and one diamond/sapphire band, five stone ring made by Wink (sorry ladies). Everything else will be posted!
