It's a replacement--but I haven't been wearing my original e-ring for some time.

I really like the cathedral setting. I think it doesn't get the credit it deserves. It really is a work horse. It looks good day after day. It's a classic design and it makes every shape of stone look like a million bucks.

I love the comment someone else made about it making your stone stand up and say look at me. It really does do that - better than a traditional Tiffany, IMHO.

Another benefit of the cathedral over the classic is that you can have just about any wedding band with it. The setting sits flush against a band, where as the classic's prongs bump agains the bands and create a gap. I don't do gaps.
