But I thought the price was rediculous! I went to a local B&M jeweler today just to look at a remount for my round. I had been looking at matching sets with channel stones, but there was one that had a deep V channel setting for the center stone. I told the sales person that I liked it because it didn't have any prongs to catch on my hair or the kids, and then she said she wanted to show me a mounting that she loved. It was a three stone ring, but not like any I had seen before. All three stones were set with semi-bezels. The sides were .35 carats each, and the centerstone that was in there was roughly the same size as my stone (7.67mm). One side of the ring was yellow gold, and the other was white. The whole thing was 18k. The interior was marked "Levitt". I have never heard of this designer before, and would like to see if I can find it somewhere else because I think they're asking too much money ($2,350). Would like to shop around a bit.

The really cool thing about this ring is that it had enough presence on the hand that it could stand alone. Was wide enough that I could wear it as a wedding band, but the centerstone was raised up a little bit. Those .35 pointers on the sides really made the centerstone look big, but not out of proportion. It was gorgeous. And SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO comfortable on the hand! It was just my size too!

If anyone has seen something like this, please posts pics and a link!!!

Is this what you wanted to post Cecilia?

I own a ring like the one DA described, I'll take a pic of it tomorrow.

Hi Diamondangel - I guess you may have already found out about the designer but you can see more of his stuff at www.cordovajewellery.com - Albert Levitt @ Cordova - there are some really lovely rings there but the ring posted abve was only in platinum in the photo but I guess you can order in any combination of metals and also I could find no prices listed anywhere. Hope that helps a little.

That link didn't work, but I'll try it again later. The pic wasn't the one I saw...the gold almost swirled around the centerstone on each side. I'll see if that link has the mounting that I saw. I'm going to swing by that store again and ask if the designer has a website so I can show my husband.

This link worked:

http://www.cordovajewelry.com/wedding/index.html

But unfortunately I didn't see anything on the site that looked remotely like the one I saw.

This is the ring that popped into my mind when I read your description - this one is actually my moms - I have the same ring (I got mine first & she loved it so my dad went down to our jeweler & had him make one for her too - I was kinda mad at first, but hey, its my mom, lol) ... mine had rubies instead of emeralds and the center stone has been removed & reset - I thought this would make a better pic - it's a very heavy ring.

last one...... pics aren't that great, it's a grey, dreary day today
(the emeralds are natural, clear & matched - the shadow makes one look darker)
