Ok I need your ladies help. I haven't really posted bc Im not truly following the plan as uppy listed. I am doing food combining. Basically I don't combine a high protein with a high starch/carb. You can combine either of those with vegetables. No artificial sweeteners and strive for at least one meal of fruit a day ( I do breakfast) It is very high in fruits and vegetables.

Back to what I need help on. So sometimes I try to "treat" myself as some on here have. And I have found the same thing I feel sooo sick to my stomach almost immediately. I swear to myself that this isnt worth it and do good for the next few days or so. Then as if I forgot all about it I do it again! What is wrong with me!! Do I enjoy punishing myself? \:\(

nah, i don't think any of us enjoy punishing ourselves. the thought of cake now makes my stomach turn over. would it help you better if you didn't have those foods around?

I don't buy them at the grocery store never have, even though my mom did and that is how I grew up. This happens if we are out with others and or away from the house. DH also has been known to make special stops to the gas station for things. I don't do that though and never have.

I forgot to mention that this is a problem that both DH and I have. We are both on the same eating lifestyle that i posted about earlier

D- I've been browsing around the recipes on the low carb forum and have found some that are especially satisfying when I want something for a "treat", but I can stay on my lc eating plan. Check this out- it's really yummy!:

and I've also made these muffins and even my kids like them!

I purchased a bottle of DaVinci sugar free hazelnut syrup at TJ Maxx and have been using it for cooking and making Italian sodas, mixing it with San Pellegrino sparkling water.

So, how did everyone do for July? I'm thrilled with my progress. On Monday morning I was at 135! That means I have lost 7.5 pounds since the first of June \:\)

I'm actually sitting in a clubhouse looking out at the gorgeous gulf waters right now (and I'm wearing a bikini ).

I'm trying to continue eating lc while on vacation, but it's a little be harder without my stock of good foods at home. But hopefully I won't have too much ground to make up when I get back home. I'm just 5 pounds away from my goal now!

Sunday I was down to 147. That's 5 lbs for the month. I would've liked a little more for the effort I put in, but I suppose slow loss is not a bad thing.

I'm plodding on - 12 lbs to go.................
