I thought I was one of the very few if not the only one with that problem. I used to take pills, but I didn't have the time in the mornings anymore to fight with them. They used to win most of the time anyway. Uh, did I mention I take liquid Advil and liquid Tylenol as well when needed??? ::hides:: I'm such a wuss when it comes to pills! Fortunately, I can swallow Advil! It seems like anything softgel I can swallow without a problem. But when I try to swallow a regular vitamin, for instance, it's like my throat closes and it sits in my mouths for minutes while it starts to dissolve! Half the time I just spit it out and forget about it.

That's exactly what I've done! Just spit it out because it sat in my mouth so long. I used to take gelcaps with no issues but even that got difficult eventually. I would never even consider a regular vitamin. Luckily for us, they have chewables and liquids. It's so frustrating because vitamins are quite expensive. There would be days I either just spit them out and skipped taking them, or had to keep trying to get one down which meant I was wasting them. That's when I switched to Flinstomes chewables, but they turned my tongue black for some reason so I stopped! My doctor said it was from the iron and it was normal, but it still freaked me out. I also have a terrible gag reflex. I hate when the doctor has to do a throat culture!

gummi vitamin bears are the best! my kids love them too! We gave them flintstones but since the cartoons are long and gone they just didn't get it. I wish my multivitamins were more palatable, I'm swallowing these huge horse pill things. I switched brands and it's still the same thing! First one was a capsule, second pill type is just as big!!!

When I can remember: TwinLab High-Potency B Complex with Iron (2) fish oil caps (2) Calcium supplements with D (I don't do dairy) When I'm in a hurry: (2) Chewable Flinstones (3) Chewy Calcium Gummy Bears When I forget to take any supplements, I try to get what I need out of my food ~ eat a huge serving of spinach with a little marinara sauce on top and some fresh grated parmesan (a super combo and the only cheese my body tolerates) heated up in the microwave at lunch or dinner. Another favorite of mine is a good soy yogurt with 1 cup of blueberries and 1/2 cup of strawberries with about 1/3 cup ground flax (it turns into a giant bowl of "dessert"). Lots of other yummy "vitamin" food treats, but these 2 are quick and easy in the summer!
