The seller didn't have much info other then he thinks it was purchased originally in the 60's but I am not sure if it was purchased new or not...I always wanted a solitaire pearl to sub out as engagement ring at times - for some reason that appealed to me...but a LARGE pearl. Preferred it to be prong set along with the glue so that I would not as easily lose it - granted in my mind I wanted the prongs to actually HOLD the pearl but I just love this setting.
