That I made! I had some pearls laying around so I decided to string them. The potato shaped pearls I forgot to put french wire around the clasp... Oops. They're both 16". I'll never wear them so I'll probably put them up on the Bistro. \:\)

erised - They're grey-green with some peacock overtones to them. let me see if I can get a better pic. That pink box was the closest thing to me to take a pic on.

Pretty color! Did you knot between the pearls? Hard to see in the pic.....

No, I didn't knot between them. I have some larger better quality pearls I'm going to try and knot. The lady I buy my pearls from is going to show me how to do it next time I go in to her shop. I have a feeling it looks easier than it is.

Not really! Once you get the hang of it, it's easy. The big thing is having the right tools. If you have decent stringing material, and all the things needed to finish your strand, it's not too hard to do. I have found that the thread you choose makes the most difference.

Once you start with pearl stringing it gets addictive. I've restrung all mine, lots of my friends strands, and new pearls that I bought from Pearllunar.

Good luck. ;\)

I used to love stringing but have developed some pain in my hands from setting gi-freakin-normous amounts of diamond studs for my boss. My hands are so sore after work.

Bryan are the first Abalone composite beads? They are gorgeous and look like Haliotis discus. I love Abalone shell and used to make bracelets with those in college.

I'm addicted to stringing... I found my Zen tying knots next to Elana's balls (pearl balls, that is).

Really, when I am knotting it is the only time I can think about nothing else other than those darn little knots. I love it…
