I agree - upgrades are good!

In this household, if I asked for an upgrade from DH and didn't do it myself, I would get something of a higher caliber (see "Shooter's Thread"). :-(

Thanks everyone. I love it.

LOL Casey, this was a self acquired upgrade, so don't feel bad. I think its very rare that a guy would think to upgrade his wife's diamond.

See my last post in the "shooter's thread" about our anniversary gifts to ourselves.

DH and I now just "buy what we want for ourselves" as "gifts" most of the time. Like - look what you bought me for my "fill in the blank".

When I told him I wanted the 9mm BTD sapphire that was on DB and told him how much it was, he just grinned and told me that I had just raised the bar on what he was getting for himself!

If your DH is in the business and he still doesn't think of upgrading his wife's diamond, then I think it is pretty safe to say that the rest of us will have to do it on our own also.

Hehehe I just upgraded my ering - and I was downright surprised that DH noticed I was not wearing it (because it was out of the state...) Took him 3 weeks but he finally said something.

I was even more impressed when I got it back, and he noticed it was a different cut....went from a 7mm Flanders to a 8mm OEC. Course, he also questioned whether it was the original setting b/c it was all polished up. But he noticed something was up!

I should add that he got me muck boots and a snowsuit for christmas - I was pleased. I NEEDED them.

Harpsong, your ring is just one of the most unique rings I've ever seen...GORGEOUS!

MrsMike, I can't imagine getting to wear a 2ct RB, my FAVORITE cut! \:\) Never tire of looking at them!

Casey, my DH and I do the same with gifts...we pick what we want and let each other "give" it to the other for whatever occasion. Quite practical, don't you think ;\) ? Always get what you want, ya know! \:D
