It's killing me. Feb 2011 is bonus time, 7 LONG months from now.

Unless...I postpone some planned mini-trips. If I forgo those, I can kind of justify setting it sooner. Guilt is holding me back, we just got back from a cruise...but the wheels are ever spinning to see how I could work this!!

Less has since come back with the Krupp's grading report and it was graded as a G diamond equivalent color, so for anyone reading this thread, my above quoted post is incorrect.

What is the Krupp Cut, and where can I find it? From the pictures it looks to be an Emerald cut, but when I google Krupp cut, all that comes up is Elizabeth Taylors asscher cut ring

krupp cut is similar to the emerald cut but i would describe it as an elongated asscher,,,elizabeth taylors ring was the inspiration for the cut thus the name,,,

NK is right, the Asha Krupp is more of an asscher that grew into the dimension of a rectagular EC. The difference I see between the Asha EC and the Asha Krupp is that the Krupp has the windmills that generate in the corners and has cut corner edges whereas the Asha EC does not. It also seems to me that the Krupp has more steps than the EC??

The Krupp cut is supposed to evoke a more vintage setp cut. This thread below makes reference to the Elisabeth Taylor's Krupp even though it's about Winfield's Angel Cut (similar to the Asha Krupp), 7th post down -

I've finally decided- for an e ring we're going to put an 8x6 krupps in the asha diamonds nova setting (instead of an ec). See my other posts to watch the drama unfold :-) CANNOT WAIT! Stay tuned for pics!!! (probably a few months down the road)
