What is up with these shoes?!?! I'm all about sexy shoes, and DH constantly complains that I have too many, but I can promise you this: I will NEVER, EVER be seen in a pair of these....... Would you?!?!?

each one makes me think of some freaky monster that's gotten its beak stuck somewhere Funny, that was my first impression too. Like a cartoon monster - straight out of "Ren and Stimpy" hell... Are they seriously for sale? Or are they some artist's "anti fashion" art pieces?

They are an Alexander McQueen design, and are apparently quite hot on the European runways this fall. I say pee-eeew!!! My DH says they look like some freakish hooves!

I would love to see an x-ray of the foot inside these!
There so bad, I can't wrap my head around how the foot must be when they are on???
Awful!!! if you look at the solid black and solid blue ones, you can see the line where the inner sole is. so the foot's really just in the same position as regular high-heeled shoes. like this: i did notice that they're called armadillo. ha! and, yes, they're ugly. it's not the height or the spindly heel, or even the en pointe looking part that gets me, it's the padding above the foot. gah!

Ya know, sometimes ugly is just ugly. I don't care if the hottest celeb or the president is wearing them, there are certain things that just do some serious damage to the eyes, and these shoes are one of them!

What is up with these shoes?!?! I'm all about sexy shoes, and DH constantly complains that I have too many, but I can promise you this: I will NEVER, EVER be seen in a pair of these....... Would you?!?!? What are those???? Oh, shoes?? Is THAT what those disgusting things that border on beastiality are?? I had to look quite a few times to decipher what they were!! I'm the last gal to even say ANYTHING against fashion (or in this case lack thereof), but Holy Hell!!!! If I ever wear mile high heels again, it will be Candies or Manolo Blahnik. No, I don't like Lady Ga Ga either. Her music MIGHT have been doable if they didn't make it annoying by playing it every hour! Then again, you can't go by me because I like heavier music. When I do listen to dance music, it's the older dance music. Yes, I even like reggaeton and salsa too.

( omitted the shoe images that sparklee attached) No. Those are positively ridiculous. First of all, foundry boots should be low heeled for stability. You'd either turn your ankle in no time flat, or snap a heel off, wearing those. Second, the materials of construction are all wrong and will have zero durability in acidic (resin in the sand for molds) and abrasive (lots of sand, and metal filings) environment. These are a proper foundry boot: Foundry boots need to fit tightly around the ankle, too, to keep out sand and molten metal. Those fancy foundry shoes are a big FAIL. >:-D

Wait until someone breaks their neck in these. They are not that great looking but if given the chance I think I'd try them on only because I find them so fascinating. They are like a train wreck, I can't stop looking at them.

Are you kidding me? Those are some of the worst 'shoes' I have ever ever seen! No, they would not find their way to my car or mailbox, let alone my closet! LOl

GROSSS!!! Reminds me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JICRtY-epH4LOL Also, I saw some paparazzi shots of Lady Gaga falling in an Airport in huge ridiculous shoes, and it made me think, you asked for it! Seriously, she tries to be so outrageous and Serious all the time, seeing her falling on her face from her own fashion choices was kind of humorous lol!

I find Lady Gaga ridiculous. She tries to hard to be "different"
It's not interesting, IMO.
Never been a fan of her from the start, just don't really see all the hype over her is about.

Oh man, I have to disagree! I love Lady Gaga, lol! I just can't help myself. I think her weirdness is refreshing. And I admire the McQueen armadillo shoes because they are inventive. I wouldn't wear them, but that's because my lifestyle doesn't call for that kind of get up, lol. I just think her music is really fun and I value the anti-bullying work she does. One thing is for sure - she is not for everybody, and neither are these shoes. She and McQueen are pretty polarizing - love em or hate em - but for me, it's definitely love!

Well said, MrsElleMonk. ITA with you!! If I were young and had the right lifestyle, I might even wear the shoes---LOL Oh I would be right next to you, lol, most likely teetering around and potentially breaking my rear in the process, but they are fun looking, lol.

I def don't like the shoes, and I have never really liked her either. I am always surprised when people say she has great style. Mayce I am just too old and conservative now to appreciate it.

I don't see how you could walk in these unless you were a ballet dancer! My daughter can walk in amazingly high heels because she dances on pointe.

I don't see how you could walk in these unless you were a ballet dancer! My daughter can walk in amazingly high heels because she dances on pointe. I'm a retired professional dancer and it's a totally different mechanism. You are helped with the agility and balance aspects being a dancer, but it doesn't develop your feel for heels. It's actually frowned upon by most ballet companies as an unnecessary risk, similar to skiing and ice skating (which some contracts can prevent you from doing.)

I've never seen a female professional ballet dancer attending an event where she didn't have on incredibly high heels. I wasn't endorsing it My daughter only wears them on occasion, and then wears very supportive shoes during the week. I was just thinking of ankle flexiblity to stand up in such high heels. My ankles aren't flexible enough to wear anything over 2.5 or maybe 3 inches.
