I LOVE stainless!!! Bill bought me a 2mm plain Stainless band, and I wear it constantly. It's my summer band. I have been rough while wearing it, and despite the abuse it still has only fine little scratches that you have to really look hard to see. I wish more delicate and feminine engagement ring styles (like cathedrals and tiffany settings) were available in stainless. It's still as shiny as the day he slipped it on my finger.

According to me you should not bother too much about this go with your fiancee and select some latest fashionable with some antique look which you wear for your whole life. Best wishes for your engagement...........
