Newbie here...trying to decide between a 3 ct (8mm) Vintage Scroll Princess Asha Solitaire Ring (the "Enchant"- hopefully you can see it on my profile picture) and the 1.25 ct (6mm)

Have a size 8 ring size. I just don't know if the 3 ct would look too fake??

wow, only the 6mm and 8mm are available in that ring? i'd go for the 3ct (i like lots of bling), but check with chat to make sure they can't put in any other sizes first...

also, a 3ct will only risk looking fake if you REALLY can't afford a 3ct diamond, which would be at least $15k (as far as i know)

I think a 3ct would look great on a size 8 finger! If not, see if they can make a 7 or 7.5mm.

you could always tell people it's a 2ct that was cut shallow and faces up bigger or something

i say you get whatever size you want and say you got a great deal on the stone.

I think it would look GREAT. Passing it off as a diamond will be tricky.

Personally, I would get it, but if asked point blank I wouldn't say it's a diamond.
