I am new to this forum I have been looking at an ASHA diamond for about 3 years now & deciding to take a leap but im a little confused were to buy fromconfused

Does anyone have any reviews or pictures of rings bouight from ashadiamond.com? they have heaps of designs and would appreciate any feedback regarding their settings.

Asha is not very well known in Australia & i dont want to buy loose stones just in case the jewler dosnt know how to handle them!

Personally, I would get it, but if asked point blank I wouldn't say it's a diamond.

why would passing it off as diamond be tricky? i'm asking b/c i want to get a 2.5 ct round asha here soon...

ig7134 - in terms of your size finger, i say anything less than 2ct is too small. play it safe, though.

EConMe...thanks for the feedback. Still waiting to hear if they'll make it in at least a 2 ct.

If it's not believable based on your financial means/lifestyle, it can be hard to pull off.

+1! Never say you can't afford a large diamond. Anyone can. Bling is right. You can say you got a great and you won't even be lying! wink Get what you really want and what makes you happy. If you buy thinking you have to keep it practical carat-wise, you'll only wish you went bigger later on. It happens to all of us, trust me on this one. I have it on good authority the amazing deals that can be had. whistle

Totally agree with MD666 on this. On average I guess I wear a size 8 on my left finger.
It really varies from 7.5 to 8 but I decided to get 8.25 for stacking the ering with other bands.
My first Asha is a 2 ct (remember, 8.25 ring size), my second is a 3 ct. less than a year after. So yes, I am on the same boat.
I am know longing for a 3-stone ring for better finger coverage.

Here are some pics for reference and comparison: 2 ct cushion/top and 3 ct Asscher (step cut)/bottom.

I guess if it depends, on a step cut I would go as high as around 2ct, but on the others I would not venture over 1.75ct because I know that's all I could afford when it comes to a real diamond. I just think that anything too huge would make others either think I was wearing a fake OR that I blew my money when they know I have school loans, not making a lot, etc.

Yes I care about what people closest to me believe rather than having a big bling that just looks pretty to me. but again, that's just me.

If you can't afford a 3ct (or something close to it) then yes, I think it is too big to pull off as a real diamond. If you wanted it to be really believable then I would get a 1ct and put a halo around it for finger coverage - or like someone else suggested a 3 stone ring. I know in Australia diamonds tend to be on the smaller size, or at least I noticed that when I lived there. Just my opinion though.

When I decided to get my Asha, I looked at what I would reasonably be able to afford and what I would actually spend on a diamond right now and chose a 2ct. I priced out diamonds that would be equal to an Asha and then made my decision. I could not imagine at spending 40 + thousand dollars on a 3ct diamond.

My Future Fiance (my ring is being SHIPPED!!) was concerned about people "thinking it was real" when we chose the 1ct Flanders ($460) so I went to a popular jewelery store's web site (we ordered my ring 2 days before Valentine's day.....it was my Valentine's Surprise!!) and found a similar ring in the same carat size and it was "on sale" for about $4600.......I simply said "There you go Love, you found a GREAT deal online" (Because in all honesty, we did!)
