A young girlfriend of mine had a boyfriend "propose" to her. Turned out to be a bum of a guy that gave her the above ring. I got curious to see what would happen to the pot metal if baked.

I did 400 degrees, 40 minutes. The ring survived just fine and the stone definitely came out better. laugh

can you bake them when set in 14k? Or do you need to take the stones out first?

I've baked rhodium plated SS, 14K white and now pot metal, it's all been fine. :)Lol girls, your so funny I'll get photos as soon as I can. I've got 3 of my four boys plus hubby sick right now. Been a little crazy here.

i've done 10kt and 14kt yellow and rose with no problem.

yup....i've even baked rings in a separate baking dish next to dinner and they all turned out fine grin
