Strapless dresses bore me as wedding dresses. Maybe it's because everyone and their mothers wore strapless to the High school prom. Maybe it's because the people I see wearing strapless are showing too much skin and pick unflattering dress cuts. Really, you shouldn't buy a wedding dress that makes you poke out funny. But that is what I see people doing! My sister was a little overweight and bought a very beautiful dress with beautiful ruching and classy straps that really looked good on her. It showed off some of her cleavage as well without her whole top half showing all too much skin.
I have really broad shoulders and smallish boobs so I could never pull off strapless, nor would I want to. I want some fabric on my dress! And not just on the train!
I mean there's so many options, lace collar, sleeveless, cap sleeves, bolero jacket, boatneck (which I LOVE on myself), and countless other options! I say ladies, use that upper body space to wear something unique and more interesting (and maybe even flattering) than a strapless.

Strapless seems to be the norm these days, good for you, going for something unique. I love the cap sleeves idea with a sweetheart neckline!

I'm with you crossingfingers. I like almost ANYTHING (except for the single strap - I dislike that look for a wedding gown) other than strapless because I am sick to death of them. Overdone and boring is an understatement.

That one is lovely! I can see how it would accentuate the bust area. Although bathing suits are a whole other topic, I have one with a criss-cross with straps on the edge like that that do a pretty good job of making my little ones appear larger.
