Hi Less!
thank you so much for taking the comments to heart and looking into what the cause could be!
I am about to order my ring, which I was going to do with asha since the Mira didnt work out. Is there a chance of getting a 5mm screened stone anytime soon? Just wondered as I really wanted Mira to work out for me!
Sure, and thanks for your feedback and hync's feedback as that definitely helped us narrow down and solve this. All Mira's will be screened using the dichroscope going forward but the issue is that we won't be running any new 5mm for a bit. We are still finishing off pre-orders for 6.5mm esp. and then we've got a lot of mostly screened (except for the new dichro-step) larger stones (1ct+) to complete. So, I think this means we wouldn't have a 5mm for you until roughly another month and not sure if you want to wait that long? Best thing to do though would be to email our support and that way we can advise directly and not via the forum. Hope that helps, Less

DiamondGirl, I think you should totally wait the month. I know it seems like forever, but in the long run, I think it will be so worth it...

Hello! I have GOT to know EXACTLY what makes this beautiful ring in your profile photo. Is it a pink moissy? And, what is surrounding it?

Wow I love the pictures of the Mira taken in daylight. Too bad there won't be a pear or an OMC to be set in a custom setting.Le sigh ~Red Lol, I'm with you Red, but I wouldn't say never, it might just take a while, like, 10-20 years from now when BTD is a multi-million/billion dollar business making the most gorgeous moissanite in the world! Otherwise I'll just have to buy a GIGANTIC Mira and have someone re-cut it to a pear for my 15th anniversary or something. More on subject, that is really cool you figured out about the primary and secondary colors for moissanite, that really makes a lot of sense, even if it slows up the screening process more.

even with the mira treatment, i believe they still turn brown when recut?!? maybe not as much, but there is a technique to cutting them and avoiding the tea color change that only BTD and C&C (to my knowledge) know how to do
