I'm curious to know if anyone's tried a steam cleaner? If so, do they work as advertised? We have lots of tile with (ugh!) pale grout, so I'm considering a steam cleaner. What brand do you recommend?

I have the H2O steam mop, and it works well, imo. The cleaning pads are certainly black every time we use it; we have 2 days so they get the floor pretty muddy soemtimes. I have heard others say that it isn't the best one though.

Thanks, jcent. smile I was flipping channels and saw one on TV, then saw a different make in a local vacuum store when I purchased some bags. The local one (Polti, I think?) looked good, but when I googled it for reviews, I decided it would be best to keep looking. tongue

Yes, half the fun is doing the research --- up to a point. tongue Then I either snap and buy something or shelve it and move on. LOL! I'm also kind of keen to buy a pressure washer right now... We'll see which one "wins". Or perhaps a sparklie will beat both of them out. LOL!

I'm also looking for a steam cleaner, and a guy on the car forum I'm a member of recommended the Haan. He said it even cleans his garage floor!!!! shocked

I just posted this the other day! Going to check out the Haan, I wanted one that just used steam, no chemicals. I have similar issues with my tile.
