I love the look of small moissanites near a larger stone. It brings the whole thing to life IMO.

Ok ladies I am in the dominican and have gotten a look at my mira in all different lights. I just want to know does anyone else notice the middle of the stone looking a little like a doghnut hole. I think I captured it in one of the photos I posted. Is this normal? And does it reduce when the stone is set. Also it is still not sparkling more than my asha, should it be? I am still deciding if this stone is for me or not. Thanks ladies!

Oops double post. Anyway I thought I would just clarify by doghnut hole I mean there is a small hole (which I know is normal) but then the part around it is kinds dead. It really doesn't sparkle much in the middle. Is this normal? And I cleaned it a lot so it's not dirty

There was just a discussion about this actually. That is what some of thought was an open culet, but Less talked to one of his experts and it is because the moissy is a bit of an off cut, and too shallow, so it causes a strange reflection that looks like an open culet. I *think* that was right...either way, it is normal in moissy, and why many of us are waiting for the H&A cut...myself included.

One of the moissies in my bezel earrings has that (pics floating around). It bothers me a bit, but they are earrings so I don't see them most of the time! To me it my moissy looks like it has a fish eye effect. Do you know if this Mira was sent out prior to them doing cut screening? Or has that been done since the start?

Well my pink circle is right on top of the dark ring so that's no help lol but I hope you get the point.

Question for those with Miras, has everybody seen this circle or is it just some? I feel like in MRs.V's ring it isn't as pronounced? Or is this a known issue with Moissy? I know there is a lot of talk about the cut of the RB moissy/mira, is this what all the talk is about and I just didn't realize it?

Yes that is the ring I am talking about. BTD emailed me and told me that it is normal for moissy and thus why they want to change the cut. In some lights you cannot see it, but in most of the lights I have at home you can. I think I might get an asha until the H&A mira comes out and then try again. I will say again though the color is fantastic for those who already love the moissy look.
