Ok so am I understanding this correctly, you do not have to treat Mira any different then regular Moissy?

Laser inscriptions are pretty tiny. At Jared, we usually set the gemscope at 30X magnification to see them.

That is what Taylor said regarding polishing (BTD) , First she just told me to tell them to be careful - when I explained that they carried regular moissy and should I just tell them to treat it equally she said that would be perfect - it is just important that they know it is NOT a diamond - she was afraid they would scratch it .

I got my Mira early on like you. I've never been able to find the laser inscription on it, no matter how many times I've spun my ring or deepened the wrinkles between my eyes. I didn't ask my jeweler about it because I trust him and honestly I never thought about it when I dropped off and picked up my ring.

But I am curious to hear how you found yours -- if you do, that is. Is it so small that you need a stronger loupe than the standard 10x that I have?

And now here's a really dumb question... You and I were both very early adopters of Mira. You bought something like #3 and I bought something like #8. Are the numbers on our stones literally 3 and 8, and are therefore a single digit hiding behind a prong? I guess I assumed it said something like "MIRA 1234567" with whatever combo of numbers, but I have no earthly reason for why I assumed that.

Maybe Less will weigh in on this and set us straight.

I would assume it's whatever number is on the cert, no?

It is actually inscribed "Mira Moissanite" not Mira3 or Mira8 .. or any numbers for that matter ... which is why I was so perplexed on why we couldnt find it... Maybe I will buy my own loupe on ebay - all the sparkle sisters seem to have them haha
