Nope there actually isnt a certification # on the certificate -The person who had the first Mira ever sold isnt marked any differently than the 6783682nd

I remember reading in the Mira post that became the length of a book (lol) that Less said they'd all say "Mira Moissanite" because changing the laser engraving for each stone would really be time consuming and hike the price up like crazy. So, identifying it as a Mira should be enough to feel secure. Still, I hope you get to see the laser ID, CM.

And WHERE did you find a jeweller here in Canada that has regular moissy in their store? I've never seen it in real life, and I've been looking! (PM me if you don't want your whereabouts broadcast on the internet!) lol.

OMG this is my fear CM! I'm supposed to go see my ring next week sometime and I wanted to make sure that I'd be able to see the inscription . I'll have to request that they show me the incription for my own piece of mind, they can think I'm a nutcase all they want! lol

I live in Edmonton and there is one little hole in the wall jewelry store that had a moissy. It must have been very old because it was quite green but he did have a certificate from C&C. If you go on moissanite.com you can search places in your area that they have distributed too.

I ordered a loupe set of ebay (15,30and 40X) so hopefully I will be able to see it - again like I said I will check it out when I pick it up but of course I am paranoid . Dayna are you in Ontario?

UPDATE : picked up my ring today , it was blinging! the woman only had a 10X loupe with her and we looked and couldnt see anything (again) . BTD reassured me that you would need a 15X loupe .. but I didnt see ANYTHING with her 10X loupe... sooooo I ordered my own on ebay (up to 40X) so when they arrive I will keep you posted...le sigh

That is exactly right. We have a gemscope we use to read them. With a loupe, it is difficult, unfortunately. I asked BTD about doing a larger engraving, but they said they afraid to. Apparently they had a large Takara that was engraved a few years back with a larger font, and it reflected into the stone in some lighting, making it look like an inclusion. Therefore it is small as to not effect the clarity rating.

Hey all ! just want to give an update ...
My loupes JUST arrived in the mail and I was looking at my Mira/Amora with the 30X loupe and couldn't see ANYTHING

I am going to look again when my eyes stop hurting from refocusing through the loupe...



iheartsparkle did you end up seeing it??? Anyone else have this problem?
