How awful. A ring to a lady is so very important, to me it has to be perfect. I am sorry about your experience and hope everything gets sorted out. With all respects, you shouldn't have to give them another shot at fixing the ring. It should be shipped in A1 condition. It's already been sent back once and they dare send it out again in poor condition.

I would want a refund or a percentage of the cost of the ring back, for all the time and grief you have spent over this OR a complimentary wedding ring, to re-instore your faith in the company. You've given them a chance.

Just makes my views stronger about where exactly these rings come from...CHINA. Save the cash ladies and go direct.

Yes, post a picture. Sorry you had a bad experience. I've never had a problem with the company, or the customer service (well, except for the live chat - they never have the info I'm looking for, and always just ask me to email the company). But Mike and Chris have always been great with me. I really enjoy my interactions with the company, personally.

I'm wondering if there's more to your story.

I am specifically wondering why a brand new ring had to be sized. Does the setting not come in a size 4 at all? Or did you order a pre-made ring from the "one time discount" folder of the website, and it was a larger size that needed to be sized down?

Anytime you size a ring, especially one with sidestones like the HW halo has, you run the risk of it not being "round". Those sidestones need to stay in there. It's not like the jeweller can just melt the whole shank and begin again to make it perfectly round but smaller - especially because of the sidestones. So if you purchased a ring that was a size 6 or 7, and wanted it sized to a 4, well, that off round shape is going to happen. It's not a question of their bench's skill. It's just you can't beat the physics of it, without building a whole new ring.

(Now, if you ordered full price, brand new, then no question, it should have just been a size 4 already, and perfectly round for your fiancee's finger.)

Darker sidestones - could just be debris under the stone (metal dust from the jeweller's bench), so maybe try a deep cleaning on it?

In the end, if you're not wanting resolution from MoissCo anymore, but want the matching ring, contact another board vendor (like Baby Milo said, Amcor is great. So is Wink Jones, etc.) to order it from them.

I'm not convinced they take the time to really read their emails, or if they do they just don't understand. My favorite head scratching moment was when I asked what the color the difference was between an enhanced and unenhanced moissanite. Chris replied back that they don't grade the colors and instead included a photo comparison but with no labels to know which was which. I replied back, "which stone is which, there are no labels?" to which he responded, "the enhanced" crazy *rolls eyes*

Point is be clear and to the point of exactly what you want from them. I wouldn't leave anything up in the air for interpretation

Baby Milo, thank you. I'm not familiar with them but will search for Amcor and Unique Settings.

Does this make any sense? Is this what your ring looks like? Mine is still round but I have a plain shank so it might be comparing apples to oranges since there are no side stones.

Good luck, hope it works out! Please post a picture!
In their defense give them a shot to fix the e-ring (again), there are some very nice people there. I recommend Amcor for the wedding band too.

NewSparkle, I actually did give them another shot. I sent it back and after their 'fix', my fiancee's ring is still uneven and they didn't even bother addressing many of our other concerns. Sorry I won't post any photos as I want to respect my fiancee's wishes to not have her ring posted on the internet.

I don't know much about rings so I appreciate the knowledge and kind words in response to my post smile. I'm grateful for everyone's opinion and I sincerely hope that moissaniteco.com will consider disclosing additional detail on their website so experiences such as ours can be avoided.

I didn't buy an item on sale - it was full price. This is exactly why I'm hoping they will disclose such details on their site. Who would have expected to buy a size 4.25 ring at full price and get a ring that looks like it's been sized down? And it's definitely not debris.

I've had "uneven" service out of my local jewelry store, so I can appreciate the frustration. But it seems to me that if you are going to post specific complaints about a vendor's quality, it would be best to also post photos, so that the Board knows that this is a legitimate complaint and not just another troll post.

Example: December 2006, my formerly-reliable local jeweler (not Moissanite Company) scratched the heck out of a brand new Winfield's Chinese White oval that I had set in a ring for my Mom's Christmas gift. You can see the scratches, diagonally, across that table from prong to prong.

I second your sentiment. In fact, I wrote a very detailed email since I was sending the ring back for them to fix it. The response was beyond disappointing (hence wanting other vendor suggestions - thank you).

Wow! Thank you for this post! I've read one too many bad posts to ever order from them!

I agree that sizing shouldn't even be an issue! That's one of the reasons you order a ring so that it's MADE for you!

In my opinion, I find posts such as, "I've read one too many bad posts to order from them" to be comical.

Let's do the math here, for every few bad review on the internet about MoissCo. there are another 100 plus posts that are positive. This company is fantastic and has great customer service. I've ordered more than one piece from them and I am over the moon with gratitude and satisfaction. I've received immediate, clear cut responses from them via email at all times and all of my questions have been addressed, plus some.

Again, so sorry to hear when someone does have a bad experienced but let's be real here, the company doesn't deserve to be bashed over this gentlemen simply trying to share his experience.

MoissCo isn't perfect, as no one company is, but they do care about their customers and they do push out quality work. That would be why they have longterm, loyal clients.
