*Could* you get away with a few...possibly. I would be very surprised if that was a viable loophole for any reasonable quantity. It is way too large and too easy to jump through...like there was no patent protection at all! You would, in effect, be a distributor and still not allowed to sell in patent protected countries.

I am pretty sure that is still not legal. As a vendor on ebay, you are still subject to laws. They cannot be shipped to patented countries.

Let me rephrase my question. If I gave an amora to a jeweler to be put in a setting and didn't tell him it wasn't a diamond, would he be able to treat it the same as a diamond? Hi AndreaD Moissanite is very hard, but not quite as hard as a diamond, so your jeweler does need to know before he begins to set the stone. It can chip if he puts too much pressure on it. Moissanite can take more heat than diamond, though, so you can tell him to feel free to use a torch.
