You make dog collars!?! Do you have a store or etsy name? I would love to see them! I have a website that I just pulled down to catch up on orders so I can launch all my Christmas sales. I'll post the link in my signature once I've put it back up again. I make both the fabric wrapped and custom leather collars. Leather work is my specialty. I am a master craftsman. I have about 150 - 200 fabrics to choose from and as far as leather goes, if you can dream it up and it is safe, I can make it. I love recreating vintage dog collars and I've also make custom collars loaded with BLING!! I set close to 150 rhinestones on a huge collar for a bullmastiff. Talk about nuts!!

I am totally going to order some custom collars fromyou when you are taking orders again. Please do post in your siggie when you can I will. I have about 30 to finish up before I can reopen for the Holiday orders. I am moving from Connecticut to Alameda, California the first week of January so I am going to be having some pretty serious sale prices. I do not want to haul hundreds of yards of fabric, thousands of yards of webbing and half a ton of hardware with me!

Do you have any idea which essential oil he was allergic to so you could avoid that one? My dog doesn't do well with rosemary essential oil. She didn't mention just one, but there are a bunch in those soaps that irritate dogs with sensitive skins. In particular cedarwood, lavender, tea tree and rosemary. All or some of those are in both of their dog soaps, so I have reverted to using a natural oatmeal and aloe soap that I bought at Whole Foods. It's been working out great!!

One of my former boss is from CT, went to school in TN and settled in SF. He left to go back home last year but later found out that he loves the city too much and planning to move back here...
Welcome to the Bay Area Hoyden (soon)! Thank you! I am looking forward to it. I've been in CT far too long for my wanderlust filled soul. I am hoping I don't fall in love with it because my fiance is due to transfer next year. He's hoping for Galveston.

The Lavender usually isn't an irritant, but the other three certainly are known to bother sensitive dogs. I'm glad you found one at Whole Foods and didn't get some chemical filled junk from the vet. I prefer to find the cause of the problem vs. treating the symptoms, so I get annoyed when the vet hands me special soaps, creams and an RX for something to stop itching. Then again, I am one of those that feeds my dog a raw diet.

agree-essential oils are tricky business for houndies. I also do a raw diet and get frustrated at a lot of the junk out there. I can't wait to see your collars! If I'm SUPAH LUCKY I may even be able to pick it up in person! I promise to bring the hounds if I do!
