Indeedy I have !

I'm after a 6 prong simple setting. I already have the tappered tiffany from Brian Gavin which tapers into 1.8mm at the top. There is a 1.5mm thin band from James Allen which I adore but I think it will only take stones to 1.1ct so thats out.

If anybody happens to come accross a 1.8mm six prong setting the whole way around I would be most grateful for the heads up !

I have finally decided this is the ring I want to put my amora gem into. It is going to be my engagement ring so I am wishing so much that the AG becomes available soon because I am way too impatient to wait 3 years to get engaged! I can't figure out how to compress the pictures enough to post them here . I've seen her name pop up on these boards a lot, can anyone tell me if I would send the stone to her (or Amcor) to be set or just get the setting from her and have it set by someone else?

Either way. I just started a ring project with her and am sending the stone to her/Amcor.

I just put this on layaway in anticipation of a 1.5 ct H&A Amora Gem. If the C&C patent sticks, I'm going to have to find a pen pal in a non-banned country, lol.

Think I've finally decided on at least one for sure.

I basically want This ring with an 11x9mm AG krupps. But that size isn't going to be made in their first batch.

So I've been thinking a lot about an asscher setting and While I was planning on setting an ACC in this, now I really want an 8mm AG asscher in This open flora or in An all platinum one of these.

Oh and I forgot to add that I'll be replacing the sapphire in "Jules" with an AG oec when the 9mm size is offered.

Omg Lorrissy I LOVE those MC2 settings! I love any of their settings though! Haha.
Are you going to get an actual MC2 ring or have a similar ring made by another vendor? Have you been in contact with them? Their website is unclear as to if they are still using outside stones. I remember reading on pricescope that they had so much business that they might not be taking new work anymore and are just going to produce the pieces they want and sell them. I hope that isn't true!
I love their EC flora ring and if I wasn't holding out for an AG oval, I would be all over that for my dream ring. Even then, I have considered just biting the 10k bullet and commissioning that open flora ring in platinum for my oval when the time comes. Decisions decisions!

I pretty much have a setting for each stone I want picked out already, lol. I almost hope the sizes of stones I want take some extra time, lol. There is no way I can afford that many 4ct+ stones at once, let alone set them all. A 10mm H&A cushion is first on my list though. And I think a 10mm cushion is 5ct... Does anyone know??

I was going to commission DK to make a similar/inspired MC2 ring.

I also love their EC flora pave ring. It's so pretty. I had decided that's what I wanted, but after getting my krupps and putting it in my solitaire setting, I don't want any extra pave distracting from the center.

However, I think the tapered baguettes enhance the krupps and really make it a presence and just gives it a strong but elegant look.

I love ovals too! I have a setting designed in my head for an oval. I'm just wondering if the AG oval will be a more modern cut or similar to the more antique asha oval cut. I prefer the Asha's more antiquey style.

And if AG does do an AVC, then I'm thinking a rose gold something for it.
