Oh gosh, I am so far off the wagon now, the wagon is in the next town. I totally need someone to help me stay on course. I have already failed today, but it isn't as bad as it could be. I am the same though, we cook with whole foods and I love my protein. I also like veggies though, and berries are my current down fal. I need to go really basic again for a while to get my body processing food the way I want it to again.

Me too! I'm an Atkins/low carber, and I seriously fell off the wagon these last two weeks. Hubby has had time off work, we've been eating out a lot, and I've been head deep into the Margaritas. I need to get back to being good 'cause I can tell by how I feel that carbs are no good for me. All I've eaten today is a fried egg, 2 pieces of bacon and some left over turkey. Good start.....

Hi e.taylor, jcent and sparklee! Count me IN! I eat the same way - I don't follow a formal diet plan, but I don't eat any carbs or sugars. Protein with every meal/snack, and very "paleo/primal" in style. I'd love to share recipes, meal plans, encourage each other! This will be fun!

Oh, yeah. I'm in. I've been doing the "Wheat Belly" thing for a several months now (I think!) and have been on and off wheat many, many times. I've lost a jag of inches and some weight (the latter I don't care about) and feel sooooooo much better because of it! We were at the Royal Bahamian Sandals for a week (this past week) and while there, I did have a few desserts that had wheat (for example, b-day cake! It was my b-day while we were there! Wooot!) I also had several alcohol beverages (two small glasses of red wine and a Bahama Mama)---I don't usually drink much but water. Result? I gained four pounds in a week!!! Now, onto the good news (apart from the fact that the trip was awesome )... when we returned home, I simply ate as usual (no wheat, lots of water, veggies, complex carbs like brown rice, quinoa, etc.) and have already lost two pounds. That wheat is baaaad stuff! So, yeah! I'm in for staying the course on wheat-free!

yay, we have a little group then It is so much easier to do it together. Tonight we are having gluten free sausages made from grass fed beef, and I will make rice for DD and cauliflour rice for me and DH.
