I love it too. I just can't stop staring it. It has so much depth, and suprisingly, so much white light return!

And yes, as I mentioned before it did have a previous life (lives actually) on PS as I am sure many of you might have seen it before. I bought the first and original ring and only one made so far in preloved condition. It went right back to SK and he resized and refurbed it and set the stone and it came out perfectly and in brand new condition. I'm really happy I got it in preloved condition as I got a good deal on it and I'm happy that I got the exact and only one in existence so far. The stats of my stone are similar to the stats of the diamonds it once held so it fit prefectly in.

I don't know if I got lucky, but my stone is not really not just 8mm, it's bigger. It's actually 8.20 mm! Side by side next to another 8mm stone I can see it's bigger. Using the diamond weight calculation it's actually 2.18 ct.

The ring is very delicate yet the platinum gives it good weight and strength. I love the style of pave the stones are set in, it's like every teeny tiny stone has double claw prongs!


BY the way in the original post I said the diamonds on the band stop at 7 and 4; that was a typo. I meant 7 and 5.

I think that happens sometimes, especially with the larger sizes. I remember looking at the NAGL certificates for several Amoras from BTDs websites and many of them varied from their advertised weight up to even .3mm (on a 9 mm stone). But it was always slightly bigger than advertised, not smaller.

thats awesome that thats the norm!!!! would have loved + .3 too!!!! its like extra carats and finger coverage for free!!!! goog news to all waitng for theirs to come in!!!
