I was at a club the other night and this girl had a beautiful channel set wedding set. The center stone was about >.5ct princess cut but it was like a frickin RAINBOW! I was like, hmmm moissy or CZ? The set was small enough to assume it was real but it sparkled so much that I was like "fake???". Maybe it was the dance club lighting that made them look like rows of disco balls.
I'm a crazy ring fiend these days, checking out EVERYONE'S rings.
I don't think that anyone in my city really knows about moissanite. If anything they'll ask me if it's a CZ. And I can honestly say no. And since their minds pretty much go "diamond/CZ" once I put my foot down that it's not CZ I'll be home free.

Considering most BTDers usually don't like the idea that someone may be doubting their 1ct/2ct/3ct/4ct ring I find this thread a bit odd...perhaps labelo is more the the point with "innocent curiosity". I know most of us are just curious but when we are laughing at people on the train it's crossed the line, IMO. It's one thing to wonder, it's another to assume based on how someone is dressed. It doesn't matter to me either way because even if someone is wearing a huge real a diamond and dressed accordingly they still might be a lousy person on the inside. I think I'm either missing something or I don't understand what you're saying, I'm confused! I didn't say the size of a diamond or sim makes you either a good or bad person? I'm tired and am having a hard time expressing myself,so nvm

I'm not so much curious about whether a sparkly is real or not. I just like to look at other people's jewelry. I work at a Golf Course in the spring/summer/fall--so, I get a lot of women who leave their jewelry with me to put in the safety deposit. Of course, I love wedding sets and necklaces. Many of the women 30 and over have yellow gold sets. But, they're usually no more than a carat or so. The ladies who wear sims have larger stones. I put them in the safety deposit box also. I must say that the ladies who wear the sims have more beautiful rings--nicer more imaginative settings. Their diamonds are also shiny; whereas the ladies with the diamonds--they just don't bother to clean and shine their stones. Me--I prefer the ladies who wear sims and lovely perfume.

I see rings on my customers all day every day and yes I'm constantly wondering if I'm looking at an Asha or Amora!
