MrsGotRocks- thanks for the compliment. The siggy is new. I have re-evaluated my life and things are different for me now. I am less concerned with being judgemental to myself and my loved ones. I was the typical type A who needs to control everything....and realized that I was not being the good friend,co-worker, spouse, mother and manager that I should be. I still have morals.....but life is too short for me to be a B.

I had my worst critic staff member tell me "We were really worried about you....we had a sense of dread. But it is great working with you." It hurt......but it was real. And that is what I am striving for.

My siggy is about being yourself and being ok with it.....even if others are not. lol BTW- I just love you and your posts.

Thanks for this review, alexa! I've been looking for a DIY Shellac alternative, since Shellac is impossible to get these days. I have the light already and will give Gelish a try!

Would you say the colors depicted online are pretty close to the actual colors? I know monitors vary, just want to see if they are pretty close? I tend to go for either light sheer colors or really dark vampy colors

Just a note to thank you for the Gelish tip. I picked up a 24 color package deal (yes, I'm a total nail addict!) and did my nails last night and I FREAKING LOVE GELISH! The colors are amazing, the application is more idiot-proof than Shellac (for me, anyway), and I love how easy it is to layer and do color combos.

I did "fairy princess" nails using a base coat of Simple Sheer with a High Bridge fade on the tips. I'm also a nut for sparkly polishes, and Gelish has so many to offer, as well as sparkle polishes to layer over the other polishes.

I also just ordered some Konad plates and look forward to playing around with nail art/Gelish combos. This is what I do late at night, when I can't sleep, after DH and DD go to bed, LOL. By the glow of a UV lamp, like a mad scientist...

Here are some awful iphone pics. I was too heavy handed with the High Bridge, next time I'll do it much lighter, almost a dry brush. The nails look distorted and thick in the pics, but it's the bad lighting, in person they look much better!
