An update for anyone wondering...
Last week I got the ring back after having it sent out to DK to fix a few things. As soon as I put it on, I just knew it wasn't right. It's not David's fault at all, and so anyone here using him can rest easy that he is wonderful, and I would not hesitate to have him make me a ring.
I think me not liking it was a combination of things, and I'm truly still trying to sort it all out. First, coming to these boards opened up my mind to so many ring options that I did not know was available. The ring I had made was, in every way possible, a departure from my original e-ring. At the time, I felt that going in such a different direction just meant my tastes were changing. Now, after trying the ring on, I know that style just isn't me. I couldn't get over feeling like it was too much, too fussy, too busy.
Second, I realized that I'm a moissy girl at heart. So, the Asha cushion just wasn't doing anything for me, beautiful and perfect as it was.
And third, doing a custom order was like cooking an epic meal. You know how sometimes after spending so much time in the kitchen cooking a meal, it's the last thing in the world you want to eat? Somehow, it was like that. After so much time making it and getting it right, and then it not being what I expected, I just wanted to move on to something else.
I am so thankful for these boards though because without it, I would never have known about antique cuts, which come to find out, is my love!
So, I now have on order a 7.5mm Amora OEC in the Abigail setting paired with MoissCo's low profile eternity band. The Abigail has been calling to me for some time now, and I just couldn't stand it any longer, lol!
Finally, I just want to reiterate that working with David Klass was a dream, and he did nothing wrong here whatsoever! Truly, he is a kind and generous man, and one of integrity also. He guaranteed his work 100%, and I received a full refund without question.
Anyway, that's what happened with all that...hopefully I'll be back on the Amora board soon with my Abigail!

labelo? Don't you want her ring? it looks so much like your avie! I'm considering asking him to sell it to me. But alas, I have all these gemstones coming to me with no where to go if I did that! Bronte, I'm sorry you didn't like it. It's a lesson in really taking note on who you really are. One person who is really good at knowing exactly what her tastes are is borismom. I like a lot of different styles, and often think I want BLING BLING. Having fun play rings is ok because there is no real monetary commitment. But a real ring? I am so terrified to go to BLING BLING. But I have to listen to my heart, like you, and stay true to who I really am...and then on days I want to "pretend" play with BLING BLING, I do so thanks to QVC. Hard to imagine you sending this perfect ring back, though, but you will love the OEC.

Thank you for your honest update. I'm getting the Abigail setting, too! Don't we have such great taste? hahahahaha I am working with David to fix one of my settings and to set my stone. He really has been kind and easy to work with, although I haven't gotten a reply from him in a few days! Hope everything's OK with him...

I have admired it since she first shared it and I'll admit, the thought of asking DK about it crossed my mind when I first saw that it was being returned... but the center stone is quite a bit bigger than I'd originally planned on going. We're actually working with DK on a custom design based on my avatar, though! I'm just waiting to see if the limbo with the moissy ACCs can be worked out before actually starting work.

Poor David Klass indeed! I really am very sorry.
As an unintended consequence of my indecision, I now have 2 cushion Asha's I need to sell: both 7.5mm, one modern cut and one ACC.
I guess I need to make a bistro listing!

I know a lot of us have things going on with him currently. He is doing 2 things for me currently ha.
