DK is a sweetie for sure...he is so gracious and accommodating, and so easy to work with. I feel like I could say, "I hate it. Start over." And he would! Of course, I would never say that. I LOVE it! I wish I didn't have to part with it, but I do need to send it back for some resizing and a couple minor things to fix.

Just a quick update for anyone who wanted more pictures:

I sent off the ring to David to fix a couple issues, and won't get it back for a while because I also decided to get a matching band, and he needs my ring to make the band. Plus, we are moving out of state next week, and I just told David to take his time anyway so that we could be safe at our new address before both rings get shipped out.

The things that I asked to be fixed are quite minor, but one thing will impact the look of the ring--I asked that the "surprise" diamonds on the underneath of the ring be made flush. I think it was an oversight on my part because I never specified either way, but I really did not like the button look of the surprise diamonds sticking out like they were. Anyway, when I get it back and it's all perfect, I'll post more pics!

I'm working with David right now as well.

He is my new go-to guy. So far he has beat any quote any other vendor has given me by a LOT. I mean a LOT.

What do you think of the quality of his pave work? How does the metal look?

One little pave diamond looked to be sitting a bit lower than all the others, but then I never could tell if it was truly off or if my mind was playing tricks on me. I asked him to check just in case.

Other than that--the ring is gorgeous. I didn't know what to expect going in...I mean he's making the ring from practically nothing, yanno? There's bound to be minor imperfections, but all in all--he's an amazing artist.

As for the metal, it too was done extremely well. I was very picky about the overall look of the ring and especially the milgrain. He more than exceeded my expectations.
