Congrats! Your 9.5mm is BEAUTIFUL! and ALSO the 8.5mm! For me the larger 9.5mm seems to show more color variances and the 8.5mm more is a tad bit more white and less brilliant, especially depending the photo I'm looking at. I thought that I read somewhere the bigger the Amora moissy stone, the more fire and colors you can expect to see throughout the stone.
I recently posted pics of my 8.5mm cushion amora moissy, and love the fire/color in mine, hardly any yellow at all, same as yours.
Either way, they are beautiful, congrats again! Hi Raquel! I did see your ring and it is absolutely gorgeous! The smaller stone is an 8.5mm but the 9.5mm seem to have more fire and color as yours. I will send you a PM re working w/ MH. I'm still searching for jewelers.

Oh wow! That is a big difference considering they are both amoras. Now I'm feeling nervous because when I start my custom ring I'm going to have the stone sent directly to the jeweler.
Not that the warmer stone looks bad but I'd prefer the whiter one.
I'm really excited to see your finished product! I agree I would want the whiter stone. I thought the color grading meant all the stones would be the same whiteness. This does make me weary I also thought the color grading stated the smaller stones are whiter. I would say the safest bet would be to order the loose stone and see it prior to getting it set. Although I didn't mind the warmth in the smaller stone, shrinkage set it before I even had it set! So, we opted to purchase a larger stone when it became available. I am glad we did as I did not anticipate the 9.5 mm would be "THE ONE".

Luv,..did the Nagl card show a different color grading for each? Hi Kanga! I will check when I get home and post pics. What I do remember on the card, the smaller one had the date of August 2011 and the larger one was January 31, 2012. The latter was clearly from a new batch.

Are you going to pass your stone off as a diamond? one of the reasons I'm more attracted to Amora is that we can afford a larger stone but I've heard posters say not to order bigger than a carat or it won't be believable. I want larger than a carat that's one reason Amora is so attractive to me
