Thanks! Here's hoping you get a response soon! He actually did explain the delays in his last email, which I really appreciated. I feel like I should send his assistant a bottle of wine for the craziness he or she is probably going to walking into after their vacation!

How is it going for you guys? I'm still waiting to hear from David. He was supposed to send me the CAD in the beginning of last week, but I haven't received any CAD or email. It does worry me (and my fiance) that he doesn't email to say he's delayed. But since I've been reading here that he's very busy and (still?) has the flu I'm trying to be patient. I've read so many great reviews and comments about him, but I just don't know what to do with the lack of response... I'm really excited about DK making my ring and I hope he gets well soon!

I got two emails from him in the last 2 days...maybe yours got buried? He said that he is VERY behind in work and that his assistant still isnt back so he is struggling.

He seemed very nice and I am pretty sure after talking to several companies that he will be making my ring. Haha this has been the longest journey EVER but I couldn't afford what JbEG quoted me for my ring and so after seeing all of DK's recent work I am sold!

Anyone know if David is on the mend yet? I haven't heard from him in quite a while about my CAD but since he's been very sick, I didn't want to bother him.
I'm just getting the money together for the project anyway so it's no huge rush other than I'm excited.

He emailed me a couple of times (2 days ago was the last) but said he is really really busy catching up and starting a ton of new projects.

He gave me a quote and said his assistant is gone until the 6th.

Yeah he said my ring would be done at the beginning of this week, no follow up yet. I'm not going to contact him again, when it's done it's done. So I'm guessing some time after his assistant returns, I can pay him and see it!

I hope he is feeling better!

Yep,..his lifeline is his assistant,..so things will be back to his GREAT customer service when she gets back!!

He is busy at all times,..and that is why his sickness has lasted,.cuz he is just overworking himself till she gets back.

He is really sorry for any delays and wants me to pass the message along.
The one thing that REALLY stood out to me while talking to him,.was when he does create a ring for us..he really really does want us to be happy and he is a perfectionist.
One of the beauties on here had to be re-done three times till he was happy!!
I told him we dont mind it taking longer,.we just want the communication!!

So hang in there girls!! He will be his normal self soon!

I got a quote from him and I'm going to give his contact info to my BF to hopefully have him make my ring-I told him the boards were buzzing about him and that's the best place for his work to be displayed and raved about. Free advertising by jewelry professionals! Maybe he'll consider a small "got your name from BTD message boards" discount...
