I've had this ring a few weeks and stare at it constantly. MOST of the time it is as white as possible (no yellow, no green, just white white). Even on cloudy days.

But sometimes in the car (or in the shade on sunny days) it can get a green or yellow hue. It's impossible to capture it in pictures, but today I was able to get some shots.

I don't dislike this about it, just happy I can finally see capture what people are talking about!

Specs: 7mm OEC moissanite (latest batch), ring size 6

Has that stone been Amora-rized?

Yep, that's it! Great example pics of the green hue! I see that color in my untreated stone. The most green I see in the enhanced (non Amora) is more like the 2nd picture and only in the car.

Gack!! Your ring is gorgeous!!

I don't ever trust the color I see in the car because of the windshield tint that goes across the top. It's bluish green and depending on how the sun is shining through it reflects...I think I even see some slight green/blue color on your hands in those photos. That might explain why some people only see it in the car. wink

Only twice have I seen a funky color on my RB Amora moissy. Once was when the sky was a really strange color...not the normal kind of overcast but the kind where people look out the window and say "Look how weird the sky looks!!" You know, like it might be the end of the world or something. LOL
My moissy turned a light buttery color. I kinda liked it but I wouldn't want that color all the time.

The other time I don't count. The stone was a weird green/golden color and I was thinking...ACK, what's wrong with my stone!! I took off my glasses to get a better look and it was all fine. It was just my polarized sunglasses. grin

No it's not treated or Amora-ized or anything.

I know the lighting in the car is most likely to blame in this instance, but the accuracy of the green color showing up in the pictures is what I was going for. When I ever see green outside of the car or anywhere, that's the color. Even sometimes in direct sunlight you can see it, once you know what you're looking for.

Does everyone with un-enhanced mossy see this green at some point or another? And how would I know if I got a "good" one or "bad" one as compared to others? I keep reading that people got it and "knew it was a bad one immediately and sent it back".

If that is the "Oh so Dreaded SNOT cast" I can live with it. That doesn't bother me a bit.

I love your ring BTW - I wanted that one so badly when I started my e-ring hunt, but I realized it was too fragile for a wrecking machine like me. :-(
