Just got home from dinner with "the jeweler"

we've dubbed him that now.
First things first, he always deals with diamonds but says he's had a love for moissanite for many years. He says he never carried it simply because he found that some clients worried whether or not he'd give them the real diamond they purchased or a moissanite since he had them in stock. He said he got tired of having to explain to people that of course he wouldn't swap out a stone so, he went strictly to diamonds only again.
He loved both OEC's but said he strongly preferred the Amora OEC. He said he felt it was easily passable as a diamond OEC and looked much better to his trained eye in the Tiffany's setting.
He said he felt my current OEC screamed "I'm not a diamond so what am I then". He said the rainbow affect was too overbearing (for his liking) in my current moissy.
I love the rainbow affect and he said some people really prefer it but if I wanted a stone that made it difficult to tell if it was a diamond or not, then the Amora was the way to go.
He's setting the Amora OEC in the setting and said he has no issues resetting it if I decide I want the old OEC back.
His favorite..... My big blue moissy! He said he simply couldn't get over the brilliance and beautiful shade of light blue. He even said that in the 40 years he's been selling and making jewelry, he''s never seen a blue stone of any sort that he liked as much as the blue moissy
He was very impressed by DK's Blue Belle as well
All in all, I did like the way the Amora looked in my setting. Once it is set, I will post pics.
I can't believe I didn't think of Dennis aka "the jeweler" before today. He's not only a good friend but a very talented man.
I wonder if I can have the big culet OEC peachy pinked someday if I end up keeping the Amora in my setting?! That would rock!!
