I have as a wedding band the 5 stone U-prong ring from Whiteflash with five modern cushion diamonds and I would like to change the band to a 7 stone band with small antique cuts. I would absolutely love little AVC's in the band but the premium price for the diamonds is too high for my budget right now so what could I use instead if I wanted to have antique cut stones in the band? The current stones in the band measure about 3mm each.

Wink has 3mm Old Mine cuts, that could be one option but I'm worried about durability although my Wink ACC stone is doing just fine in a solitaire setting. Other idea is to use 3mm moissanite rounds but that would be my least favorite option because of the modern cut of the rounds. What else could I consider?

I remember reading something about Schubach having OMC moissanites cut together with Moissanite Co having cut ACC moissanites to reach the minimum carat amount required by Charles & Colvard but did those OMC moissanites ever pan out?

Try Diamonds By Lauren, they have a branded line of OMCs- maybe they will be more affordable?

Maybe you can get 3mm OEC moissies? I have no idea where from... I'm sure someone else will be able to post where.

I'd also recommend looking on ebay & the bistro. You could find one with an ugly setting and then just re-set the stones into a u-prong!
